You should try the salmon at the cafeteria. Then kick/push your way around on a furniture cart. Finish off your trip by spinning 360's in place in their "all-directional wheels" shopping carts.

is the one in charlotte open yet, saw it on the way down to atlanta?

needs to happen.

I've got the MALM bedroom stuff (bed and dresser) its been through several moves and help up pretty well. I also have the EXPEDIT bookcase, same deal.

I love IKEA. but more for the accessories etc. never bought furniture furniture from there, but did get a bed and nightstands in SD. but have heard mixed reviews.

if you dont treat it like shit it'll last ok. Clearly not forever, but its worth the price you pay.

their furniture holds up great if you take care of it. the only time i've known someone to have a problem with it is because she didn't assemble it correctly.

a little glue usually doesn't hurt either.

i've known 2 people that had the expedit - 1 uses it for a tv stand, the other got the large one for a bookcase. both look great and have held up over the past 4 yrs that they've had them.

i personally would purchase peices like the expedit bookshelf. i'd say you're safe with storage, anything that's hardy looking. i would not, repeat WOULD NOT purchase a sofa or anything that is upholstered from there.

you should check out apartmenttherapy.com and search for people's suggestions on best buys from ikea before purchasing.

was the EXPEDITE easy to assemble?

i'm placing the order today. not sure if I should do it online or drive there. its about 45 minutes north of me. and since living on SoBe I no longer have the desire to drive anywhere.

and i'm not sure if I can fit the pieces in my car.

I've take my EXPEDIT bookcase apart and rebuilt it like 6 times moving. Its easy, just takes a little time with all the pieces. Its sturdy as fuck when you get it built, hence why I always had to take it apart, no way in hell to move it on your own once its assembled.

possibly right. it would cost about $300 bucks with the EXPEDITE and the DESK and probably taxes and all. I'm leaning towards getting industrialized shelfing like mentioned in one of the links someone posted earlier. they sale some similar at Walmart for like $40 bucks. 2 of those and a nice sofa may suffice.

i'm trying to decorate, but do it in an efficient cost way. i thought IKEA was the end all for that, but I think I can be a bit more creative too.

I sleep on an Ikea bed and mattress I got second hand via Craigslist NYC

I am quite comfortable with the $50 total that I have spent on their shit

however, the slats for the bed frequently fall through because the cloth strips that hold them together has broken - fixing this "the right way" would cost $35 at Ikea and I find that unacceptable so I'm trying shit ranging from jamming pennies in it to taping batteries in as spacers and I'm pretty happy - I don't have sex on it very much anyway so passing out drunk on it doesn't take a huge toll on the total bed - I plan on re-selling it via CL when I move for ~$50

oh yeah they're kind of shitty, I think

but I got $300+ worth of bed and nightstand for $50 and I find it hard to complain
my roommate is adamant about bitching over the slats falling out under his ass and talking shit about my bed... he should quit being such a faggot over it - it's not like I fuck him on it... bitch

for the Ikea record I live on a Malm bed with attached nightstand (pictures if you want them)

also, there is nothing lesbian about your story

my housemates' bed is a large piece of foam that he has laid on the floor - he has enjoyed this kind of nest for nearly an entire year

oh so you are female and one of your female girlfriends broke her own bed while banging your mouthhole with her snizz?

awesome... good story

yeah I need to bang-break my Ikea bed before I get rid of it

what I should do is go for a run or a bike ride more often so I'm a beast in bed - I quit smoking and I fuck better (in vino veritas?)

basically. the second you get within 50 miles of one you see that relatively poor people will furnish their whole flat with the cheapest in everything you can buy there and its pretty depressing to go to a million apartments where everything is the same.
