I have an Apple iBook. The screen is all messed up. It looks like ink leaked in it. I guess the LCD stuff leaked or something. I don't know the technical term for what has happened to it. Anyway, I have to move my windows all around to see what I'm doing and its quite annoying. I'm looking for someone with experience and references that can repair or replace my screen for the low. If you are skilled or can refer me to someone please PM me. Thanks in advance. 12/5/2008 11:57:07 AM |

What type of iBook? Screen size, processor speed? There's a good chance I have the proper replacement panel! 12/5/2008 12:36:52 PM |

If you go to the Apple store, they can send it off and the total cost of repair for everything is like $280. So, if you find out that it's going to cost more than that for parts, I would suggest doing that. I had to get the logic board, the heat sink, and the hard drive replaced on mine, and it took four business days to ship it out and get it back. They cleaned the screen, replaced the keyboard, touch pad and plastic casing along the top too. 12/5/2008 4:30:43 PM |

I've looked on some sites for panels and they show like $300 or more... I think I may have found someone that can do it for me though. 12/5/2008 8:45:49 PM |

Nah, I've had my computer for three years, the casing was cracked all around the edges, and the casing between the keys had minor cracks into it as well. And if they made it worse than that (which I doubt), I don't care, because it was like getting back a brand new computer. 12/6/2008 2:43:28 PM |
