This is really for all the people who didn't watch the tournament on Raycom, cause this was an ESPN thing.

You are entitled to your opinions concerning the marketing strategies employed during the ACC tournament–you may not think that opera/rap should be mixed with sports, which may be a valid point. You have no basis, however, to suggest that Opera Steve is not a talented musician. He happens to be an incredibly gifted classical musician and a successful rap artist.

yeah, since those are the only games that raycom and espn gets rights to. espn gets to broadcast it outside states w/ ACC teams, but in states w/ ACC teams, Raycom gets rights.

so if you watched the 2008 ACC on cable in NC you didn't get to see the excitement of Opera Steve like we did in tenn.

well, I know thats not true... GT is in Georgia, and I was in Atlanta. And I could swear I remember games being on both when I was in NC, I remember people picking which one to watch

Maybe it's an NC thing since Raycom is a Charlotte company.

Regardless, in almost 20 years of watching the tournament, never once has ESPN not been blacked out in NC during the tournament.

Raycom blacks out ESPN in every game that both companies are broadcasting in ACC markets where Raycom has an affiliate broadcasting the game..

Atlanta might not have had an affiliate broadcasting it on the Raycom side.
