The amount the woman paid has not been disclosed, but White said the fees run as high as $160. White said Retriever is under contract to patrol the parking lots at the apartment complex, ensuing that fire lanes and emergency-access routes remain unobstructed. "The deputy has no right to tell him to drop the car without charging a fee," he said. Deputies arrested the woman's boyfriend on an accusation of assault."

Parking didnt see the permit on the rear view becuase they looked right after walked away

went to get car... and the pass was still there
had campus police take a look at towing garage

^That is completely fucked up. I've never been towed when I didn't deserve it (and only once anyway), but I would rather waste money on a lawyer to get my car back when it was illegally towed than pay those fuck faces.

My neighborhood tows cars parked overnight on the street that have no parking permits. The previous tenants of my house lost all 3 parking permits. Myself and my 2 roommates do not have permits. The housing association will give us new permits for $275 each. Which is fucking crazy. I just bought another car so now I have two; add that to my roommates two cars and one won't fit in the driveway and will need to be on the street.

I don't understand how I should shell out $275 for a plastic permit, that was lost by someone else in no way connected to me.

What do you guys suggest? Letter to city council?

Yea i payed, my word against parking nazi at wssu. He said he didnt see a parking pass. The tow truck driver asked the nazi if he was sure, becuase he has seen my car there so many times. Campus police didnt care at all, they said that it wasnt up to them to go to parking enforcement. And you have to pay befeore you can appeal.

it sucks, but it wont happen again becuase from now on parking has to check before they tow to see if the person has a pass via computer.
