how come the blue chick with the stones in her was absolutely no where near Earth when the evil asteroid thingy was heading towards Earth? I mean, even if the crate had gotten to earth with the 5th element, they would have opened the case and be like "oh shit, we're fucked"

Remember. In Total Recall. When that chick had 3 boobs?

That was awesome.

didn't it accelerate towards earth? up the death schedule... I don't know

one thing that irritated me about that movie (and many movies in the sci-fi genre) is no continuity between today and their time period. For instance, in the scene where she gets to the definition of "war" we only see conflicts from the 20th century and back... but no fighting with aliens or space colonies being obliterated or what have you...

that always irritates me

She's supposed to contact this person in a little less
than twelve hours from now in a hotel.
She's looking for the address!

A map of the stars flashes onto the screen, Leeloo points.

The little group comes over to look.

the stones were never going to be sent near earth, the stones would have to be retrieved in any circumstances

I like how the good guy never meets the bad guy. Zorg and Korben are never on the screen at the same time. There was one shot where Korben left on the elevator and moments later Zorg came out of the elevator next to Korben's but they never met. It's just kinda of cool I guess.

Also, the gun that Zorg had never fired any of the cool stuff that it could.

true, that was done intentionally (the never meeting)

the gun stuff probably b/c fire - would have drawn more attention/automated fire control, cold - wouldnt have worked really well, rockets again a bit distracting and same risks as fire, net launcher - no real time for use here, the replay thing possibly but he wanted to re-aim it not just hit the same spot over and over, and the poison arrows again not tremendously useful in a ambush situation.

He had Leeloo traped in the Airduct, that's the perfect time for a flame thrower.

If that's the only thing that bothered you about that movie, I would like to live in your world.
