...a picky eater?

A female writer says:

Quote :
"Dining out, like sex, should be a sensual, indulgent experience. Get too fussy at the table (dressing on the side) and they think you're high-maintenance in the bedroom. It's no wonder, then, that when men get a glimpse of my extensive food rule book — nothing spicy, no condiments, no red meat or seafood, no mixing of sauces — they flee."

Does it turn you off when a woman has an "extensive food rule book"?

ha

ok this actually pisses me off because i was raised to be opportunistic and take what i get and be thankful and i both agree with and live that philosophy

so i mean i put up with it, but im put off by it tremendously

thats why i have a severe dislike for so-called dining connoisseurs on here and people who wont eat at a place if it has less than a 97 rating

its not cuz it makes me feel like they are high maintenance, i just simply dislike that attitude

It's very annoying when you go to a restaraunt, and she can't find anything on the menu except a house salad.
And then, even with the salad, it's always "light dressing on the side, no cheese, whole wheat croutons"

yes - men like it when women are able to eat and drink just like they do. Not that every man is a stereotypical red-meat fanatic, but it really is easier when women can eat burgers and fries, or don't mind getting wings occasionally, or are willing to try middle eastern or Indian food, etc

it can be really frustrating when you are living with someone. I hate the inconvenience of always trying to pander to a gf's finicky tastes - especially when I'm the one that always cooks.

if the food comes out slightly wrong but isn't completely ruined and still manageable and a hissy fit is started because things were not fixed as ordered...

that's really annoying and a complete turn-off

^x4 my ex was always really good at finding meals we could both eat. Pizzas, pastas, sandwiches...it's not really that different. I don't even eat tofu or anything "weird".

once we were at a restaurant and i ordered something and ended up not liking it. i asked for a box so i could take it home and the bf could eat it and ordered something else instead. i didn't make a big deal out of it but everyone else did, like i was being such a bitch because i wouldn't eat it. that pissed me off

did you say you didn't like but still wanted to take it home?

or did you just say you wanted a box?

because those are 2 completely different things

I am currently on a high protein low carb diet so I guess I could be viewed as a picky eater. If it were up to me, I would just go to Golden Corral every night and eat as much meat from the buffet that I can stuff in my face. Chicks tend to not be into that.

If a person is picky and they like you that should be taken as a compliment.

twoozles, i think that's a good move. i mean, you could have complained and asked for the manager and then refused to tip the server....that would merit you being called a bitch. but i think you handled that situation well

and ^ is a neat way of thinking.

I didn't think I'd mind this...

until I dated this one girl that was a picky eater

that shit was annoying to see her pick through every meal for the things that she actually wanted to eat...

she wasn't stingy in the bedroom, but....

goddamn, I would take her to a nice restaurant....and she would order a caesar salad....and then pick out every piece of chicken and tomato....and leave everything else....looking at me with a pissed off look

fuck that ho

however people who arent open minded to try new things, that is a definite turnoff.

on an unrelated note...

I was at a bar last night and there was a girl at a table next to me that licked her fingers every time she took a bite of her burger or fries. And i mean down to the second and third knuckles, full on tongue action.

i went to dinner last night and one of my friends seriously killed like 3 trees with the amount of napkins she used. we were eating pizza @ mellow mushroom, and she didn't use a fork/knife, and so she'd wipe her hands and mouth ONCE per napkin. The waitress had to come by THREE TIMES to remove the pile of napkins that was starting to take over our table...

i would think something like that is more of a turn-off.

I dated a guy who did this to ALL FIVE FINGERS after almost every bite. And slurped loudly with each finger-sucking.

That's more of a turn-off than a picky eater is to me.

yeah, I always have to "finish" chicks' chicken wings when we get them. They leave all kinds of meat on that shit. When you eat wings you better just leave bones.
