This dude had time to get up, take off his shoe, hurl it at bush, take off another shoe and chuck it at bushand still the secret service was nowhere to be foundi am not too confident that they can keep Obama safe after this

12/15/2008 1:19:56 AM
dude beside bush didn't even flinch
12/15/2008 1:20:00 AM

12/15/2008 1:20:05 AM
this point couldn't have been made in the other threadit totally needed its own separate thread.its important.
12/15/2008 1:20:50 AM
either you knew there were a half dozen threads on this already and figured you were important enough to post your ownORyou honestly thought you would be the first person to bring this up, which would just be asinineso which is it, oblivious or conceited?
12/15/2008 1:21:02 AM

12/15/2008 1:23:14 AM

12/15/2008 1:25:49 AM
yea his expression is so funny. he's like "SERIOUSLY?? we have like a month left just chill out"
12/15/2008 1:28:21 AM
I think his smirk after the first shoe is great.
12/15/2008 1:28:57 AM
he's definitely like, "come on"job style.
12/15/2008 1:29:29 AM
bush is pretty nimble
12/15/2008 1:29:42 AM
If I were the president, and someone had just missed me with their shoe in a press conference, I would probably laugh harder than Bush did.I wonder if that guy thought, just for a second "I wonder if they'll charge me with assault on the President of the United States for this?"
12/15/2008 1:31:25 AM
12/15/2008 2:01:22 AM
Haha, guy on the right tried to block the second one or something.
12/15/2008 2:02:08 AM
even tho he couldnt hit Neo/Bush, at least he hit one of the 5 american flags in the room...
12/15/2008 2:08:40 AM
I bet his ass would not have tried that shit on Saddam.....
12/15/2008 2:10:01 AM
jeez props to bush for avoiding the shoe..pretty funny though...it would of been better if bush would of taken one of his off and nailed the guy when he was being taken outor beat him with the guys shoe when he was being carried offi wonder if that would assist him in national approval ratings or improved his presidential legacy[Edited on December 15, 2008 at 2:24 AM. I have a feeling this is going to be the basis of either a SNL skit or a shoe commercial.

[i]That's my Bush![b]
12/15/2008 7:17:12 AM
^^^ That's amazingly awesome
12/15/2008 7:33:04 AM
It looks like the guy on the right nearly punches Bush in the face. And he looks kind of like Stanley from the Office.[Edited on December 15, 2008 at 7:54 AM. Reason : .]
12/15/2008 7:53:18 AM
it had to have been the laziest attempted deflection I have ever seen.It would be funny to watch that guy play basketball.
12/15/2008 8:01:42 AM
bush is actually sort of smirking during the entire thing.
12/15/2008 8:57:57 AM
The Secret Service probably hooked his ass up right after that. The guy is probably dead by now, they turned him over to the Iraqi Police. Most Iraqis love Bush.
12/15/2008 9:01:13 AM
Bush:
12/15/2008 9:01:31 AM
12/15/2008 9:06:11 AM
In all fairness Bush looked at the dude in eye and he was throwing the shoe as if saying to the SS, 'calm down boys, we got a live one here, but he ain't a good shoot hehe.' Also, throwing at someone in those cultures over there is a huge insult, kinda like spitting in someone's face, and the guy beside Bush might have felt like it was going to happen, or he held still in hope that if any shots rung off that he was not attract any attention to himself.[Edited on December 15, 2008 at 9:09 AM. ^^And they're both somewhat balding, but I too have no idea how he managed to make the connection between those two guys.[Edited on December 15, 2008 at 9:09 AM. Reason : .]
12/15/2008 9:08:57 AM
maybe the noses and the blank stare?
12/15/2008 9:11:32 AM
I really meant his expression when a shoe was being thrown at the president of the United States. I didn't really think Iraqi=black dude.
12/15/2008 9:30:38 AM
You mean that blank but mildly judgmental stare that says "Oh are you really gonna go and do that now" like an optical carlface?Yeah, I can agree with that.
12/15/2008 9:33:03 AM
haha...did not hear about this til now. i'm not a bush fan but kid's got some sweet dodging skills. i thought for sure he'd take one of 'em on the dome.

12/15/2008 6:46:42 PM
the saddest thing is that most of you don't even know who "the guy on the right" is.
12/15/2008 7:06:34 PM
^ I was thinking the same thing. sad.
12/15/2008 7:09:44 PM

12/15/2008 7:15:23 PM
the saddest thing is that most of you don't even know who "the guy on the right left" is.fixed it for ya
12/15/2008 7:33:11 PM
I don't think it is sad at all the most American's can't identify from picture who some obscure Iraqi official is that might have graced their TV for a couple of minutes (if that) once every few months (if that) for the past year or so (if that). If I had to guess, I'd say it's Maliki, as I can't think of any other Iraqi official Bush would have a press conference with save for maybe their oil minister?
