I'm looking for something similar to McAdenville or Tangle Wood that is within 30 mins of campus. Does anyone know of anything worth a damn around this area?

I like it, mainly because it is just kind of tradition and only comes once a year. But it was totally not worth it this year. Drove 45 minutes to Clemmons where I sat in line in my car for close to an hour. Paid $14, only to get in front of some fucktard that couldn't figure out how to turn his running lights off. Half of the shit was played out and old.

Tanglewood has to be better than Meadow though, right?

I don't think a 40 mile drive to Benson, NC is worth it for X-Mas lights.

Well fortunately my buddy is the manager of the J. Butlers in Clemmons, so we got to get a few drinks for free. I have never been to the Meadow so I couldn't judge. I mean, I guess it is nice for what it is, but it was all the same shit I remember from a few years ago. I would have liked to see some new shit, especially because they raised the price AGAIN this year.

last year there was a house on lake wheeler rd. (i think) that had lights synched up to music; you tuned your radio to some station and listened while watching the lights. no idea if it's up this year, but it was pretty cool.
