12/21/2008 11:19:24 PM
It's usually whatever the name of the drink is - Pepsi, Dr Pepper, etc. If anything, it's just a "drink."

12/22/2008 12:10:52 AM
I ask for Pepsi...
12/22/2008 12:15:13 AM
^^^ apparently NC doesnt follow the rest of the south. most of my kinfolk in Johnston County call it a "drink"... as in, "what kind of drink you want?"here in Seattle, everyone calls it "pop". i refuse to say "pop", it sounds retarded. so i always say "soda" and everyone looks at me like i'm retarded.[Edited on December 22, 2008 at 12:17 AM. I am originally from Livermooore, Iowa. I started out saying pop. IN 1985 after pre-school I moved to Raleigh and through the years have learned to say soda. The locals could always tell we weren't from here at first because we said pop.
12/22/2008 1:43:29 AM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UayQTu2kH-U"What the fuck is juice?!?!"Always called it "drink". Never "soda" or "pop". You either called it by proper name or just "drink".[Edited on December 22, 2008 at 1:54 AM. Reason : .]

those random counties in the south that say pop are interesting. wonder how thsoe abominations evolved.
12/22/2008 1:57:21 AM
i wish people spent more time looking at hardiness zone, watershed, and soil maps and less time lookin at crap like this
12/22/2008 2:03:16 AM
NC appears to be one of the most diverse states, yes?^I don't know.......those are kinda boring.
12/22/2008 2:20:50 AM
If I hear someone say pop, I'll pop them

"coke" is so retarded, and potentially confusing."What do you want to drink?""Coke""What kind?""Uhh... coke""yeah, but what kind?"
12/22/2008 8:07:39 AM
"drink"
12/22/2008 8:10:05 AM
"drink" or "soda"interesting how NC is sort of on the intersection of the regional trendlines
12/22/2008 8:18:02 AM
Also funny is the way Kentucky and Pennsylvania are basically cut in halfAnd the huge "Soda" stronghold around St. Louis.
12/22/2008 8:20:40 AM
SODA
12/22/2008 8:37:34 AM
lol NC appears to be a coke state with strong soda and pop influences
12/22/2008 8:40:48 AM
makes sense that NC is so diverse... look at the number of people that have moved here from up north in the past few decades... very few of us around Raleigh are natives
