Guess what. DirecTV is not raising their prices.

I get 250+ channels for $59 a month, including HBO and the extended sports package.

Oh, and their customer service is WAY better too.

Is the signal quality just as good as well as response time? How about local channels?

DirecTV has more HD channels

I have only had to call customer service twice, and was on hold for less than 2 minutes both times. I also received $25 bill credits both times.

Signal quality would depend on line of sight, but I have never had signal issues

Local Channels are included

Yeah, that is one thing I will give TWC. Their internet. I tried DSL when I moved into my house and it was garbage.

^ yes, you can ditch the cable and keep just the internet. I am assuming you didn't sign any sort of contract with TWC. The price of your internet may go up though, since it will no longer be "bundled"

I have Road Runner from TWC & use DIRECTV.

The only "trick" you have to watch for is TWC coming along later "checking the lines" and telling you that the lines show that cable TV is still connected.

I laughed when they tried that on me, especially when I told them how long I had been using DIRECTV.

^ Well if you get RoadRunner then the cable tv portion has to remain active. They just put a filter on the line so that you can't get the TV portion and you only use the Internet portion.

That filter is REALLY easy to take off, btw. That's how I had free cable for 2 years. I just ordered Road Runner, then when the cable guy left, I went out and removed the filter. BAM...Free basic cable, including HBO.

^^ depends on what package you want. You can get a DirecTV package for like 29.99, but it is only like 150 channels and none of the good shit.

I couldn't tell you how much it is total with Road Runner because I don't pay for internet

When I signed up for DirecTV I did a whole AT&T bundle. It was SUPPOSED to be DirecTV, DSL, and home phone for $99 a month. Well it only took me about 2 months to cancel the phone and DSL because the phone bill alone was running $100 a month, and I never even plugged a phone into the jack.

However, I guess AT&T doesn't communicate with DirecTV, because I still get the bundle discount on my DirecTV bill.

Must suck...

Out here on this base in bum fuck Oklafuckinghoma the only option for tv and internet is a local Cable One office...

$35/month for 3mb internet (Since everyone on base has the same connection... closer to 56K from 6-8am and 5-9pm)
$35/month for basic cable
$35/month + basic cable for digital cable
$35/month for phone service over cable

Prices increase steadily every 6 months
