I know there used to be a place off Blue Ridge that would test your water for hardness/PH/copper/iron/TSD/etc. At least I think it was off blue ridge. I could be way wrong. It's been about 6 years since I took a sample to be tested. Anyone know of a place in the area that tests water? Preferably for free.
I've tried a kit I got from Lowes but Im not convinced the results are accurate and would like it to be professionally tested. 12/23/2008 5:50:12 PM |

most retail pool supply stores should have a testing station and could do it for you 12/23/2008 6:11:02 PM |

City water. Cary to be exact. Not worried about the quality of drinking water. I meant TDS(Total Dissolved Solids)
epic broken flood control indeed. 12/25/2008 7:45:53 PM |

rising sun or any pool place should be able to do all of those tests if you take them a water sample. tell them that you are starting a new pool or hot tub and need to know how your water is.
also, the town of cary can give you their results from their latest tests if you call them. here are the 2007 results: http://www.townofcary.org/depts/pwdept/labsummary.htm

My company uses TriTest. It's off Nowell Rd, near the Wolfpack Club office. They'll perform any kind of water/wastewater/sludge/etc tests. Just go by there and tell them what tests you want and they'll give you the appropriate bottles.
It definitely won't be free though. Some of those tests are expensive to perform. I'd count on spending $100-$200 for a reputable lab to perform those all those. 12/25/2008 10:33:17 PM |

^is also true. I use Tri-test in Wilmington for research. It's kind of expensive, but they do good work. You'll need to call ahead and find out their EPA holding times and sample volumes 12/25/2008 11:03:10 PM |

what do you need to know this for? do you really need more precision than you can get from a testing station? 12/25/2008 11:16:17 PM |
