a couple weeks ago i was reading some stuff in a magazine.... some zoologists thought they had the carcass of THE CHUPACABRA. they sent off some DNA samples to prove it. but it turned out to be a puma/wolfdog hybrid with a rough case of mange. HA HA !!1

also i notice that i get sucked into watching shows or reading stories/articles about ghosts or ufos, i don't believe in any kind of aliens at all, but THAT WOULD BE COOL IF ONE ROLLED UP. (alien spinnaz roll sideways, fool)

does anyone actually believe in any of that stuff (i wont pick on you i promise. its the day after xmas ok). im thinking we can go catch a chupacabra next week

Man, when I was in the 7th grade I really wanted to be a "UFOlogist" wtf that is. I used to believe in all kinds of paranormal crap like that. I guess I still believe in some of the stuff.

I really hope there are no intelligent aliens, we've got enough shit to worry about without getting conquered by the klingons or something

now see, i used to watch that occasionally if i ever happened to catch it. cause, like i said, i don't think ghosts are real... but i'd be the first one in line to shake their hands if they ever caught one. hahaha

but those poor bastards sold out before the check was even fully filled out. its one thing to have a thermal recording with a 45 degree blob moving around... but when voices start coming out of the walls, thats bullshit. ha ha i guess if i had 6 or 8 kids like them i'd sell out too

let me rephrase... in terms of my life and where i exist. on earth, no, i dont think any aliens are here. i dont think my great grandma lives in my closet.. and i dont think manbearpig lives in my backyard.

but yeah definitely i think it would be illogical to assume that we are the only "prople" - that's kinda what i meant by this thread. all the stuff is kinda neat, but i don't believe it. just in this case, i hope i'm wrong. i'd love to see a grey alien at the harris teeter

oh yea i don't think aliens are here either

sometimes i wish certain people were aliens, because they are a disgrace to the human race. but sadly, i'm thinking, they prob aren't.

and ghosts are just tricks of the mind, i think. i mean even though i can get creeped out by them occasionally. but for the most part, things like ax murderers and rapists and fires scare me more than aliens and the ghost of christmas past. although which one was the one that had the food? i wouldn't mind meeting him. ghost of christmas present? future? that reminds me i didn't see mickey or muppet christmas carol this year

I agree with you. But for me it's kinda like even though I know it's not real, I want it to be real.

i might sound crazy, but i'll go ahead and say i sorta believe in aliens. more than anything, i believe in the possibility of other intelligent beings out there in the universe. just take a look at the stars in the sky, blah blah blah...

as far as ghosts...no, don't believe in that shit especially seeing as i don't even believe in an afterlife.

don't believe in chupacabra, mexicans are batshit crazy. speaking of...puma/wolfdog hybrid? do cats and dogs really hybridize? sounds like BS to me.

bigfoot/skunk ape/yeti i think would be cool as hell, but i don't really believe in that either. if there was anything like that living on this earth, some redneck would have shot it by now (with more than a crappy camcorder).

needless to say, i also get drawn into this shit. the stories are still fun to listen to/watch. i used to fuckin love unsolved mysteries for these types of stories they would play back in the day. the UFO stories are the ones that creep me out though, especially when you have a bunch of people seeing the same shit from different nearby cities.

i was just in the everglades a week ago with some buddies and there were mad shooting stars at night. no big deal there. but we actually saw one shooting star during daylight that passed in front of the clouds. not really relevant, but freaky shit.

anyone seen the brown mountain lights? at least i think that's what it's called.

i wat thinking about this more and watching some old clips online

taps is so full of shit. when GH first came out, i thought it was really cool. i mean, yeah, they were all a bunch of stereotypical jackass yankees with all this drama... and deciding to stay away from all that drama gave the show some credibility (in my mind).. not to mention all the attempts to incorporate real scientific data... and the fact that they used to label maybe 2 in 10 an "active" location.

for the first season or so, they always seemed to do residential cases... kids cant go to sleep, seemed like charity almost..., and jay would NEVER call anything haunted without like 10 points of evidence. then all of a sudden, they're doing bars and hotels etc. and suddenly 80% of the cases are haunted. check out the websites of some of the businesses they've investigated. they actually have "ghost tours" that cost like 60 bucks a head, or call themselves TAPS certified.

i hate it for jason and grant, im sure they hated having to choose between their passion and putting spinners on their kids tricycles they seemed like honest and decent guys... but they were running that organization with their own money.... and they each have like 4 kids. there's never gonna be any good research on this kind of stuff until someone decides to start a group and have the resources to sink endless money into the project.

yeah i've heard of plenty of people who dream up their parents for a while after they pass away. i don't see that as a bad thing at all... but if they ever came out with a study that said that the recently departed can communicate with us, i wouldn't doubt it at all. but then again, dreams, suggestion, memory, consciousness... all that shit is waky anyways. got anymore acid, dude?

one night i was on the phone with my mom, and we were just chewin the fat... well either my mom said something or maybe i saw something on tv... not sure what it was.... but out of nowhere i asked her if she remembered emily smith (aka chickenhead). mom said yeah and i proceeded to tell her that i didnt know why i brought it up, that i hadn't seen her in a long time. it was really odd cause we hadn't talked in a while and i hadn't talked to any mutual friends in a while. so it was very unusual for me to suddenly blurt that out.

then, not too long after that, i got a call. telling me that emily had passed away. iand i was like "holy shit, i was JUST talking about her" - just one of those crazy things, i'm sure..

^^ nah, it's been very therapeutic actually. Mainly because in my dreams I know he is dead, so we just enjoy hanging out again.'

same with my friend. whenever he pops up in a dream I know he is dead, so it tips me off that i am dreaming. then I just enjoy hanging out with him.

Really creepy thing happened a few weeks ago that this thread reminded me of. About 10 years ago, my grandparents on my dad's side were visiting. My grandmother and my step-mother's mother (step-grandmother I guess) would always go walking around in the woods behind my house after dinner. My grandmother on my dad's side doesn't speak English but they always found ways of communicating and afterward, they would come back and my dad would translate anything they needed. My grandmother on his side died about 6 or so years ago. Here is were it gets creepy. About six months ago my step-grandmother got diagnosed with cancer, enough to the point where she didn't have much time to live. One night towards the end of September, my dad had a dream that my grandmother and step-gmother were walking around in the woods again like they used to and right when they came back, my grandmother said to her "I'll see you tomorrow..." then walked back into the woods. The phone woke my dad up and it was the hospital delivering the news that my step-gmother had just passed away.

That's crazy. I remember when my great grandmothers died.
Oh both occasions my grandparents said a few weeks later that they had a dream that their mother-in-law came to them in a dream that night saying something like "see you later"

I think that there is some validity in all of the above studies.

Not to say that there aren't crackpots out there. But there are yet undiscovered or previously thought extinct animals, there are things that exist outside of current scientific explanations, and UFOs are a no brainer.

I do not believe in even remotely humanoid aliens.

I do not believe UFO sightings have held any validity in the past.
