16 yrs ago today, one of our dogs got hit by a carname was Bootsie, it was a black pomeranian with white feet, it was a black lady that hit him (she was nice though, as she knocked on our door to ask if we had a little dog)
12/27/2008 9:53:13 PM
what a bitch
12/27/2008 9:53:57 PM

12/27/2008 9:54:10 PM

it made me feel pretty shitty...I felt like I wasn't a very good protector. Because my girlfriend was sleeping nekkid in the bed just 30 minutes before we went out to lunch (and got robbed). I couldn't even manage to keep people out of my apartment when I wasn't there.I felt like a dummy. Because I was stupid enough to allow myself to get "scoped out" as a target for robbery.I felt violated. Some stranger was in my apartment...around my things...taking my stuff.I felt angry. Because some mother fucker stole a few g's worth of shit.I felt very unsafe. I never spent another night there in that apartment. I moved us to The Radisson that very night, on the 9th floor....and lived there for about a month.
12/27/2008 9:59:25 PM
that's a really stressful event EMCE. (i, too, would have moved out and never looked back)i'd be most concerned about the violated feeling. i don't like that one
12/27/2008 10:07:37 PM
yeah, it was a drag.the worst part was that one of the items stolen was my laptop. That laptop had my thesis on it that I was working on.Luckily, I was able to recover a draft in gmail that I had sent out about 3 weeks prior. It doesn't sound that bad....but imagine how much work you can put into writing a document when you work on it for 5+ hours a day for 3 weeksI had renter's insurance, so everything was replaced. But you can't replace a thesis :-/]

i was broken into, then we moved and within a month, we had been broken into again. awesome luck i had in the fall of 2007.the first guy was caught at least.[Edited on December 27, 2008 at 10:20 PM. Reason : .]

I'm sorry for your misfortune, Sir
12/27/2008 10:21:12 PM
funny thing was, both times they stole our digital cameras first my gf's, then mineboth times there were thousands of dollars worth of other stuff (including laptops, instruments, etc) in the same room as the camera. i guess cameras are easy to carry.[Edited on December 27, 2008 at 10:22 PM. ^4 that's terrible. i haven't written a thesis, but i can imagine how much work and time that was lost there. that's irreplaceable.my dad's house got broken into and he lost a tape (that was in his video camera) from my half-brother's 1st birthday and christmas (among many, many other things). he was all tore up about it. he put an add in the paper asking for it back stating he wouldn't press charges. he never got it, of course, but those once in a lifetime things are the worst to lose.[Edited on December 27, 2008 at 10:24 PM.
