Any suggestions on resources?

I wrote a very basic flash image gallery and figured I might as well learn a bit more while I'm at it.

They have lots of free sample tutorial videos. Very specific projects in those videos, but I easily expanded the stuff in them to become proficient.

i'd also suggest that you take a look at Adobe Flex/AIR and Microsoft Silverlight. They are the next generation of RIA technologies
