Beck's INT is without question the worst play of the bowl game and possibly worst of the season.

It takes an exceptional level of terribleness to throw straight to a defender when you're not under any pass rush.

beck's interception throw was just the breaking point for me.

The throws that really pissed me off were the ones before that when there wasnt a receiver within 25 yards of him on any throw

Yeah. Evans shouldn't be allowed back in Wake county. If he still has his stuff here we can mail it to him.

We all KNEW that our backup QBs would toss an int or two. It was just a question of when. They didn't disappoint. Amazing that they have not improved one bit over the years.

Beck is selfish and inept. Beck doesnt seem to care as stated in his interview during that stretch where he got the start.

I am very proud that Daniel Evans came in as senior and tried his best and even got us a TD. the 2 pick he threw was b/c we had to move the ball as quick as possible and had to take shots.

^^Yeah, I'm one of those fans. One that thinks "Oh no here comes Beck/Evans. Here comes an int". and then guess what - I'm always sadly vindicated. I don't care how lucky the guy gets on a couple of plays and it doesn't matter who his dad is, that doesn't make up for a 49 QB rating, 18 TDs to go along with 30 INTs. My expectation of his performance is completely conditioned by his performance.

I shouldn't cringe every time they are on the field and I shouldn't hope for a 3 and out (usually the result of a few handoffs and an incompletion) because at least that isn't a turnover every time they walk onto the field. That's their legacy.

^But since he doesn't I can't say I'm sorry he's gone after this year.

if you payed attention to any of the postgame interviews then you would realize that Wilson wanted to play. He was going to play through the pain and stay in but the trainers said he should not play and the decision was made above his head. He even stated he would have kept playing if they would have let him on the field. Dude has heart and actually puts some light at the end of the tunnel for our future

oh and it was the right decision to keep him out by everyone. Wilson has too much going for him (baseball, only being a freshman) to play hurt and risk making it worse. Our program did not have enough to gain from a bowl win at the end of a 6-6 season to risk our future QB. Our team has seen enough promise at the end of this season to help carry over into next season. A loss in this particular bowl was not the worst thing in the world.

Evans is not a great quarterback, that is obvious. There is a reason he was third-string his super-senior season behind no-balls Beck. However without him we would not have scored in the second half- our running game should've been a hell of a lot better w/ Brown in his last game. The only other half-assed chance for an offense was taking Glennon's redshirt off for the second half or sending out Wilson on crutches. BTW watch the last play where Evans threw it up for grabs to Owen Spencer- Spence just stood there and let the guy intercept it. Bottom line is no matter how much you blame the loss on Evans we would have won if some other guys had stepped up too.

Don't worry. Next year, I believe we will have the opposite problem with our QB's. I'm hearing that Glennon is the real deal and one hell of a QB. So much so that we will have a difficult time picking QB's next year - go with the proven, experienced guy; or go with the inexperienced, but said to be extremely talented guy.

If Beck's still around next year, he'll be 3rd string, we'll be set at 1st and 2nd string. And if we ever get down to third string again, well, we can all just turn off our TV's at that point.

You have to be fucking retarded if you think Beck gave us a better chance to win than Evans. Add to that, if you somehow dislike Evans more than Beck, then you are bordering on brain-dead. He's not a prima-donna, he would have played at NC State, scholarship or not, loves the university more than any of you fuck-sticks, and his dad is a NC State legend.

Beck will join Marcus Stone as one of the worst starting QBs in ACC history.
