What the goddamn fuck? It is 2009, and we still have to deal with this puritanical bullshit?Who the fuck are the people behind this? Censorship makes no sense at all. The only "bad" that comes from so-called "obscenities" is solely a direct result of their prohibition in the first place. Take away the prohibition, and guess what? All of the words and images lose the power to do "bad". It's just circular logic. Stupid! lol, this one needs a caption:

why would a chick want people to see a picture of her baby sucking on her tit?same with chicks that breastfeed in public. i don't get it.

hell yestitties

I don't know how I feel about this action. I def breastfed Maya for a while but I was very private about it. I do think it is a beautiful thing but at the same time I believe it is very private. I don't really understand why women would want to put up pictures of such a precious and private moment. One theory that came to mind (and I will prob get a lot of heat for this) was the fact that some women struggle with feeling beautiful and then they have these big breast for the first time so they want to capture it in pictures and then post it for the whole world to see. Another thing is that maybe they want to capture this precious moment just in case they forget it later.I don't know what goes through their head but I would never take pictures of me breastfeeding.
1/1/2009 10:45:23 AM
they can capture the precious moment and save it on their hard drive or a CD.to me, this is no different than watching people make out. i understand that it has a lot of meaning to the people doing it, but I or anyone else shouldn't be forced to look at it.

The issue comes about because in today's time, breasts have become sexual objects. In previous times, breasts were not considered that sexual (or at least not nearly as much as today), but were rather seen as what fed your newborn child -- women breastfed in public for hundreds of years without too much trouble until recently.[Edited on January 1, 2009 at 12:22 PM. it doesn't even have anything to do with breasts for me. I just think that some things are meant to be private moments, best kept to yourself. breastfeeding is one of those things.what's next? pissing in public?[Edited on January 1, 2009 at 12:18 PM. Reason : a]

Facebook should have a "breastfeeding photos only" policy. No other pictures allowed. I will have it no other way.
1/1/2009 12:19:32 PM
my experience around women breastfeading has been that women women who are on their first child are more sentimental and breastfeading is a private and very personal thing whereas women with more children tend to be more practical and it is just feeding the kid, nothing more. If it is just feeding the kid, then it's no different than putting a bottle in their mouth. I've never heard of anyone having a problem with a picture of a baby sucking on a bottle.

^i^^^^inconvenient as fuck and no one should be forced to do it. and this is coming from someone who did that exclusively for 6+ months.my personal take (like anyone cares, ha ha) is that it is not a big deal, and I wish the boobie mafia on both sides would give it a rest.[Edited on January 1, 2009 at 12:35 PM. ^^Well, still.... I was just using the common definition of "puritanical", which is: "morally strict". How do you suppose that term came to be used that way? Also, as you mentioned earlier, what happened prior to the mid-20th century that resulted in the censorship of female breasts? There is no shortage of breastfeeding in art:
1/1/2009 3:53:21 PM
Next do fall under the banhammer, interspecial nursing:
1/1/2009 3:57:46 PM
^might as well...and while we're at it
1/1/2009 4:12:19 PM
Facebook says that breastfeeding pics are allowed in general, but those violating the term of the website are disallowed, i.e., showing areola/nipples (whether breastfeeding or not). That's their policy, and they can decide. If you don't like it, don't patronize them.Oh and, women who show the world pics of them breastfeeding are sluts.Don't like my opinion? Oh well.
1/1/2009 4:16:47 PM
here's how i see iti guess if they wanna do it, they should be able to. but these moms should think. i mean wouldnt it suck if a thread popped up on tww one day with a picture of you sucking on your mommas titty? hahahabut ban it in public, thats just fucking lazy
1/1/2009 4:18:22 PM
1/1/2009 4:23:28 PM
how hard is it to drape a blanket over yourself if you are doing it in public?

It's nicer to call it puritanical than Nazilike.
1/1/2009 4:33:09 PM
i dont like it when women do this just anywhere in public, i'd like pictures even less

regardless of what has been said in this thread - to me, people dont want to see that shit. yes, it is normal, and could be beautiful given the right circumstances... but come on, not everyone on facebook (or in applebee's) wants to see betty sue's floppy ass tit being tugged on by her newborn.these girls are either proud to show off what they can do, or attention whores.
1/2/2009 9:49:54 AM
yes, there are very few post birth tits that i want to see
1/2/2009 9:52:02 AM
i just dont understand why anyone would want to put it on facebook....I am not against breastfeeding in public but why put any photos taken and put them on facebook...it boggles my mind...
