anyone encountered this and fixed it?

it seemed to show up shortly after i switched to using dual monitors

i don't want to have to send this damn thing back to Dell

[Edited on January 1, 2009 at 10:20 PM. Reason : Vista, Radeon HD 3650, etc.]

Update drivers to the latest version? This sounds like the dreaded nvdklm.sys error that is thrown on Nvidia systems. My system threw it for a week or two, but I used driver cleaner and installed new drivers. Run driver cleaner and install new drivers. If that doesn't work, I would just send it back to dell.

i just ordered a flash drive so i have something to back up everything to before i start putzing with it

didn't know about Drive Cleaner though, thanks

strange - can't say for certain, but it seems to be tied to codec installs?

i don't know if i should be angry at ati or microsoft about this

i'm going to give 7 a shot and if it has the same issues i'm going to go to XP
