Can this be done like with a dog? Temporary/permanent, I don't give a shit, I'm just tied of hearing their loud-ass Hindu jiber jaber when I'm trying to sleep. Who do I see about having this procedure done to the ~15 Indians living in the apartment above.

and list with hindi jibberjabber you can't get distracted by the topic of their conversation, it should be easier than the english jibber jabber to ignore.but you live in a crappy apartment complex if you can actually hear people speaking through the floors.

lesson to take away from this...don't live in little India (AKA Avent Ferry rd between western and trailwoods).

Oh yes, I learned this the hard way as well. He's not moving out because I am so goddamn motherfucking awesome.[Edited on January 6, 2009 at 1:12 AM. Reason : Tonight is pushing it though. Indians like to do indoor sprints around 2am.]

How did I manage to type "and list" instead of "at least"

A mistake was also made when this apartment was purchased and I didn't stick around when people were here to figure out how sound-proof the place was.Basically, if somebody is walking along the sidewalk outside your window and having a conversation above a low volume level, you'll hear every detail of it. If they're indoors and talking anywhere above just below normal, you'll hear every detail of it. If they're walking, you'll hear all of it.And honestly, my solution would just be to take the shotgun and fire randomly up into the fucking ceiling until they stop dancing around like assholes and shouting all night. But noooooooooooooooooo...

I used to live near some guy that'd wake up EARLY on Sunday morning and sing loud gospel until like 11AM.I'd much rather listen to Hindi jibba jabba than that

this is probably an issue you'll have to deal with from time to time when you live in an apartment.that's what happens when you (and the people around you) don't pay much rent cause you're in college.solution:graduateget a job and make more moneymove into a duplex, or a houseenjoy what you're now able to afford....a nice neighborhood, and a house away from neighborsormove into a house with friends for now. pick friends that will be quiet.[Edited on January 6, 2009 at 10:11 PM. I graduated. Just stuck here til next december or so when my roommate leaves (as I'm not going to screw him over by taking the 80% of the shit I own in this place). Working on the job side of the equation (something more permanent). Things didn't go too well after I graduated. Health and whatnot and grad school (which imploded).I'm stuck here for a while. Also, we had college roommates before that had parties all the time and they weren't this loud. These guys don't sleep on a normal schedule at all. They were up til 3 or 4 in the morning. The latest I think I had a loud party going on with my old neighbors was something around 2am. My old neighbors also walked lightly, whereas these dudes stomp around like 5 year olds. This thread is merely for bitching, not constructive comments or solutions!

haha, ok, I gotchaI, too, have lived in apartments where people stomped above me, fucked beside me, and blasted music below me. No matter how respectful I was (Never blasted music, etc...) the favor was never returned. you can complain, but it never helpsI was merely saying that it's nice to be able to afford and live in a house now where the only noise I hear is made my myself or my fiance
1/6/2009 10:22:48 PM
Yeah, I'm working on that side of the equation. I'm single, but make no doubt I'm planning on getting a house as soon as I can. My brother's an architect so I get the family rate of $0/hr when I want a house designed. I don't even want something that big (cause I don't need it).
