So I graduated this past December from the Nuclear Engineering department at State. I've been traveling around a lot on other company dimes doing interviews here and there. Pretty fun stuff I guess. It got me to California, Jersey, Illinois, Georgia, and Pittsburgh PA. Pittsburgh for the first time.

Well today I had a final interview with a panel of 5 individuals for a position at the company I want to work most. After the interview one of the men walks me out and tells me 'you will be getting the offer' right there. Then later I get a call from the same guy that all 5 people in the panel voted unanimously to give me an offer.

I'm not bragging, I'm just excited that the company and plan I have had since starting college is actually coming to fruition. I kind of feel like an official adult now.

No, I'm not moving at all. I'm originally from Maryland. Grew up there from birth until I was 18. I love Raleigh. The company is Progress Energy. If I didn't get the Harris Plant job I was going to sign on with PG&E out in San Luis Obispo, Ca. That is where the Diablo Canyon Plant is.

But I'm stoked. I know a decent number of people that work over there already. I won't have to pay two rents for a while. Good 401k plan. PG&E almost had me though because of the great weather and they match up to 12% on 401k. That and San Luis is on the beach.
