It looks like Sam from a number of years ago, before he did the band thing, back when I hung out with him in high school, after we played little league soccer and baseball together, right around the time we were getting ripped in his driveway.

all I did was go to college with Joel and sit next to him
then go to his house sometimes for beers and plays... but he was mostly busy with his lady friend who is very, very smart and I was often hanging out with Devin Walsh or Arielle Carlson (Walsh)

I first encountered the Herrings when I booked Art Lord to play in Rocky Mount
they couldn't make it but Spader did

a year or so later I met Joel because he was sitting next to me in History of the English Language at UNCA... he thought it was funny that I analyzed some Jedi Mind Tricks lyrics for an assignment
