For tonight's Duke/Davidson games and Denver/Miami games, the announcer's will be reversed from usual

Dicky V and Dan Shulman will announce the NBA game with Mike Breen, Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy calling the NCAA game in Cameron

For most of you (since there's only about 6 NBA fans here) this will mean you won't have to hear Vitale at all tonight

For those who have never listened to the Breen/Jackson/Van Gundy trio, you're in for a treat...probably the best NBA announcing team in the last decade

I plan on watching both....should be fun to see the announcers outside of their usual environments...plus two pretty good games to boot

i am excited for this too.

I really enjoy the NBA team, although I am sure tonight will focus on sucking off steph curry, coach k & cameron

I really can't wait to see how Dookie V does in a completely different environment.

Don't worry. I don't know much about the NBA, but I'm sure ole Dick can find at least one ex-Duke player to suck off between the two teams. I'm going to predict 5 comparisons of some player to Tyler Hansbrough and 3 references of how many players Duke and UNC have sent to the NBA.

I saw somewhere that Dickie V was an NBA commentator for 5-6 years before he got into college

and he used to coach the Pistons

yeah on mike and mike this morning they showed clips of vitale calling an '84 celtics playoff game

i like the '84 vitale much better than the '09 vitale

It makes watching the Davidson vs. Duke game more bearable to watch. I bet my mother will probably be watching this game in her Davidson jersey.

^^^ eh a lot of people outside of this area enjoy dickie v. I know most folks around here dont cause he is always swinging from carolina/dukes nuts. But he is a guy that genuinely loves his basketball and I appreciate him for that

i appreciate his love for the game, i just think he's too over the top and annoying...i have friends who are unc and duke fans who also think he is extremely annoying (although they probably think he is unfairly biased towards the school they're not a fan of)...vitale makes himself a spectacle...i'm more concerned with whats going on on the court
