lol is that your power song?and about the battery, its supposed to have a 1000 hour battery life and its only active when the sensor is in motion and its ipod receiver is onsensors are $20, and even if they lasted half as long as they say, thats a replacement MAYBE every 2 years?? depending on how often you work out. i work out about 4-5 days a week for an hour and half

i like to listen to the Vision Quest soundtrack
1/7/2009 11:32:24 PM

it only works with nanos and 2nd gen ipod touchwell i'm not going to let a $20 sensor keep me from it. im really enjoying it and if i had to buy another sensor in 6 months i would. who gives a fuck. i'd spend that on a few beers at the bar, instead im spending it on keeping track of keeping my ass in shapewho wants to join the acc group and get on the wolfpack team???
1/7/2009 11:40:30 PM

1/7/2009 11:41:32 PM

1/7/2009 11:42:40 PM
how does it keep track of how far you run for the acc thing ?is there some official thing, or is it based on the honor system ?If the the latter, I'm in, because I lie more than Fletcher Reede
1/7/2009 11:44:03 PM
id tape the sensors to my dogs legs if i owned an ipod, a dog, and the sensor
1/7/2009 11:45:34 PM

coming in late, but i have the nike + thing and an ipod nano. it works great.. i drove the route i run which came up as 5.07 miles or something on the nike + sensor. when i drove it, it was showing as 4.8. so in 5 miles it was less than .3 offnot bad considering the amount of hills on the route. I try to not change my stride much, but i know i did going up a few of those hills.me and my room mate usually set goals and compete against each other to see who can get there first, so its a little extra motivation to keep going through the winter months (i hate treadmills, i usually don't run unless it's outside)

i joined the "ACC COLLEGE BATTLE" challenge, i assume that is the right one? we're down like 3 miles to unc!! wtf. haha.. i'll have to go run at least 5 miles or something tomorrow... which might be hard if i play basketball too, haha
1/8/2009 12:07:37 AM
ACC College Battle is the name if you can find it, im still learning how to use the siteit started yesterday and runs until feb 5 i think^ yeah, you found us!we were in 5th place today then i logged my 6 mile run and we got into 3rd then someone else logged a couple miles and it pushed us into 2nd placei thought unc had more runners than we did because their miles accumulated so quicklyi have a half marathon on jan 18 so we can count on a nice boost when i get back from running that [Edited on January 8, 2009 at 12:11 AM. i feel bad 4 tlking shit to klajdksjdn

i use it and like it. not 100% accurate re: mileage (e.g. since it counts steps, if you haul ass one day, it just thinks you ran a shorter distance), but close enough.
1/11/2009 1:43:16 PM
It tells how far you run through calibration. You do this by choosing calibration mode then running a known distance. That's how it knows how long your stride is. If you don't do that, the default is pretty decent, too.
