Value's never going to be as high as it was before people figured out that they should've told Mom to NOT throw out their crappy collections that had been sitting in the attic.

yeah yeah yeah but having a price guide does me no good if there's absolutely no market for this shit.

I've got some really good shit, too. well, it was really good from like 1987-1992.

^ yeah my whole collection is pretty much the same era.

i have tons of factory sets, unopened boxes, and lots of non-common cards.

all worthless

most of those factory sets go for a dollar or two on ebay.

it's sad, but we were unfortunate to grow up during the time when sports cards were more overproduced than at any time before or after.

I know a dude that doesn't have a job. All he does is buy packs of sports cards and sells them on eBay. He has some method where he can tell which packs have the valuable cards in them. He makes more money than I do

The thing with those cards is that they go down like 80 percent in value if theyre not in absolutely fucking perfect mind condition

I have some awesome cards too but I handled them with the reckless abandon of the 12 year old I was when I collected them

So nicked corners and frayed edges are par for the course with every card I have

i used to be hardcore into it

i had the dos program becket put out and had full inventories and shit

then i got into comic cards, marvel masterpeice first few series

they've been in the attic for quite some time and i feel pretty confident that they're all pretty fucked up now

btw, i had the first three seasons of fleer ultras, full sets and specials, and a few shrink wrapped boxes too

didnt one of those years have like a 5 card tony gwynn special set

There is a store on Capital near the beltline called Turn Two Collectibles that might be worth trying. I went there the other day looking for a puck display case. I collected hockey cards when I was a kid, and I would have been so damn excited to go to that store then. Don't really know how that store makes any money, and kind of doubt they do, but the woman said they have been there for 20 years or something.

I use to skip school to go to Hobby USA to get the new packs of cards whenever they came out

I remember nutting my pants when I got my first Larry Johnson card

my friend was so jealous he tore it in half and started a 3 year feud between us

i've still got my birth year full set, a binder or two, and a few that are prolly worth something but still not a lot...my brother had a ton, not sure what he did with his. i'm still holding on to them as they still really aren't worth all that much.

i remember my brother and i going to an old card shop off 70 and buying a box together. we split the packs up 50/50, and my 50 had 4 Ken Griffey Jr rookie cards...needless to say my brother was PISSED, lol
