Without changing any of your usual habits at home?

My power bill from Duke power is usually 40-60 bucks a month. Last month it oddly doubled to about 95 bucks and this month the bill is that much again. Ive got a 500 sq foot brick condo and weather stripping on the outside of my front door that keeps cold air from coming in. This is really freakin wierd...

^^^it seems evidently you aren't using the same amount of power if it doubled. even if you think you're using the same amount it's been colder so you're automatically using more power on your heat if it's electric.

some plans have an adjustment month usually december and july. Throughout the year you pay x per kilowatt and in the adjustments months you make up the difference. Maybe you're on this plan?

My parents pay $125 per month +/- some fees and pay whatever the difference is in December once a year.

^^ Same.

I did find that by setting my thermostat to 67 instead of 70 and my heat doesn't come on nearly as much. It's odd.
