Say you are moving and it's between two job opportunities

Do you choose the less paying one though there is lots of opportunity, cost of living is higher, place is beautiful, BEACH....lots to do

OR

making assloads of money, have to be there at least 2 yrs, low low cost of living ($$ to save), shitty housing, fucking rednecks, NASCAR, COLD WEATHER, out in the fucking boondocks, little opportunity for career growth

OK GO

Nothin yet, though we can save and then move to option 1 when the economy is better. There's also an option for a job similar to this one to open in that region.

BUT THERE MAY NOT

25K on the year, but keep in mind option #1 has higher cost of living, in option #2 the money will go farther.

25K wouldnt be enough for me to live in the boonies, even with cost of living adjustments.

25k pay difference, thats a lot of money saved without stress so we can enjoy life(after we get out of the boonies, lols)

And that's just a base, commission+ would put it beyond that.

if cost of living is lower there, it's really more than $25k

[Edited on January 13, 2009 at 5:43 PM. Reason : what don't you like about not living on top of other people?]

The religion they try to shove down everyone's throat, the redneck trash way of life, just because you're in the boondocks doesn't mean you should treat your stuff like shit

It seems we've found a cute downtown-ish area that may be a little more updated than the other places we've looked.

It's all about the $$$ right now, though we could make $$$ at the beach it will just be a slow game

Just wondering what the dubbers would do

after being in the real world for close to 10 years now, i'm starting to realize there's something to be said for quality of life. i don't make an extraordinarily high salary, but its enough to know money really doesn't buy happiness.

that being said, i'm of the type of personality that will probably be at work when i finally kill over.
