i'm still confused as to how do people have this problem - not turn off the water going to the faucets outside? do you never use your water? what is the temp set inside your house

it is inside the hot water valve for the tub in the master bath, putting the faucet on drip wouldn't have done anything to help. (unless you happened to put EVERYTHING on drip)thermostat was at 65, but the master bath is in the far corner of a very old house. We now have all of the windows taped and have a space heater in the bathroom.

Your name suggests that you know things about water, your name is a misrepresentation of your expertise. Plz to change your name.
