I am trying to log in and I can get to where yo log in and type my name and when it comes time to type my password it won't let me type. Anyone know what I am doing wrong/how to fix this?

Did you type it in and hit enter? IIRC putty doesn't show the password or asterisks or anything.

It just has the green box blinking on the black screen but wont let me type...are you saying it doesn't look like it shows up? let me try again for the 435898347589th time

I guess the first time you see (or don't see) something like that it might be confusing
