Pack Snaps is a photo application specifically for NC State. Besides your typical features (a decent uploader, browsing, captions) there are a few (hopefully) useful features:
-Permissions: make public or private albums. Appoint managers and admins to handle your albums. -RSS Feeds: subscribe to an album or multiple albums with one feed. -Exporting: embed albums on your own site; dead simple. -Random photos: a bit superfluous but I like it. Ex:
Does the interface need an overhaul? Any features you want? Is the application pointless?
I tried to make this thread in Chit Chat, but it died. I fear the same outcome for this entire app, so I wanted to let you guys see it one time before it retired into obscurity.

pointless. why does nc state need it's own photo management app? there are plenty of other popular, better featured photo apps online already. i would suggest nc state spent development money in other areas

i missed the part about embedded pictures the first time, that may make it worth it to me a little
but i use social network sites for pictures of friends or family and one of the other established sites for general stuff. i just don't see the need for this as a full replacement. 1/26/2009 4:27:18 PM |
