Its called Chem. tutorial... its in Fox on the second floor I think... Go there about 3 times a week for 1-2 hours each time and do your homework/be a nerd and study up on chemistry...

Its cheaper than a Tutor and probably better if you learn some study skills right now...

My bad... I just saw you're a junior?

My answer still applies.

GreatGazoo is Warren and you unfortunately have managed to land yourself in one of the worst classes offered at state. You will also find your text is pretty crappy and full of errors (it is written by Wertz who is an associate professor emeritus you gotta love the perks) If you live on campus then SI can save your butt. If you don't live on campus your best bet is to try and figure out how to do the webassigns on your own (the text and the class really won't be much of a help) and you will make it through the class. Oh also Warren has an elitist nerd cult following on TWW.

chem 201 should have been eay, but warren definately made it more difficult. he is such a tool, he is hard to listen to. i hate star trek and sci fi and that is right up his alley. the worse part about him (at least 5 years ago) was that he makes u write ur answer for a complex problem on a blank and you get full credit or no credit...no partial credit for working the whole equation correctly minus a small defect or rounding error.

He speaks the Truth. Even if you don't live on campus try and make it there once a week. You should be fine.

It is really bad that a class/text can be so poor that SI is almost a requirement (I never used it but I was paying my own way through school so I didn't have a choice).

It was easy as hell.

But if you're a CH major, it should be easy.

Also, I took it at another school with a REAL textbook, a prof that explained complex problems that would actually be on the test, and a prof that was available and very nice if you had questions.

yahoo answers helps with most of the webassigns, but needless to say that won't help you much with the exams

the tutorial center in fox is worth a try before going the tutor route, & while you're giving that a shot check out the free tutors for ncsu students (search the ncsu site as i don't recall where it's located, but you can get free 1 on 1 tutoring in various subjects)

this class wasn't too bad after the first test which I bombed. Just study the online text really well and make sure you can do his practice tests along with most of the webassign. I would help tutor you but I have no time. SI is good I've heard.

If you can still drop maybe do that and audit 101. I know it sucks but if you are really that far removed from chem you really shouldn't be taking it from warren.

Hi Warren,

Are you still looking for a chem tutor? I've been helping students survive chem for 4 years now. If you're still in need, email me for help!

Best,
