Massive diarrhea for three days, vomiting this morning, and not drinking water. With-holding food and vet appointment at 1. Let the guessing begin! Household and yard hints given upon request.

Well when that happened to my dog, she had gotten a hold of one of my softballs and chewed the leather off the ball and swallowed it.

She pooped it out though.

What? That's my fucking guess and it's a good one. You shitty guess sounds like a poor attempt of humor because there's no way a dog that big is going to get sick from eating a Cadbury Bunny(read: one chocolate bunny). I don't see the humor in the dog getting sick and having to spend money at the vet.

has the dog been eating grass? (more than usual?)

any usual foods that you guys eat? that the dog got into?

my initial guess is mushrooms outback, or grass with weedkiller or something on it.

Hints:

Never eaten human food, so that's out.
We do not leave stuff out, we have a very sparsely decorated house full of baby gates.
Nothing in the house is missing and he does not chew furniture.

Oh, and I sure as hell don't know what it was yet either!

P.S. He is not a poop eater, and I can say this with confidence. Nor does he frequent any outdoor dog parks.

we didnt realize he actually ate the tinfoil. a few days later he was shitting blood and his rectum prolapsed out his anus.

we had to put the cat down

my sister's great dane systematically ate the roof off of its dog house; it would randomly throw up bits of plywood from time to time

Was it bloody diarrhea or regular?

No he does not have parvo. He's a bit old and big for that and has already been fully vaccinated. The vet couldn't get a fecal either, naturally. We're running with it being a bug of some sort. He does like drinking out of puddles and eating leaves.

And yes, he does only frequent the finest indoor dog parks.

My dog NEVER throws up stuff. She likes to shit it out for some reason.

Her latest conquest was my hot pink thong. She pooped it out and couldn't get it all out so I had to help her. That was so disgusting and so funny at the same time. She was running around with my thong hanging out her ass

the funniest was when my parent's miniature dachshund ate some pantyhose, he couldn't get it all out, so i stood on the end of it, he started running off, dragging his ass, and got slingshotted back before it came out

Okay now I'm actually freaked out over this. Fed him lunch with his new meds and he kept it down for three hours and then stupid me took him for a walk. He threw it ALL up. Called the vet and she said the meds probably got absorbed and to keep an eye on him, etc. But now he won't eat his dinner, which is VERY bad for him. He's already lost 2 lbs. If he isn't better tomorrow we have an appointment for x-rays.

No, nothing is bloody, if it had been he'd be at the ER right now. He's on a de-wormer just in case and metronidazole.

And apparently side effects of that are drooling, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite, which he has now, so that's just dandy.

ask your vet to give a cerenia injection, or to give you the pills (but since he's been vomiting, i'd suggest the injection). that stuff works wonders.

did you do any bloodwork to rule out any internal issues?
