I would be against any users with an agenda moderating ... EMCE, for example, has his racial bone to pick and I suspect N-bombs would result in epic tantrums / mass suspensions the likes of which TWW has never seen; while Noen has pretty explicitly stated his desire to censor perfectly legal discussions to suit his (employer's?) fancy.

Less is more as far as moderation is concerned.

The Lounge - don't care, never really post there, definitely needs moderation as it's otherwise the trollbait section

Chit Chat - Nobody -- even several of the existing moderators flagrantrly violate every established posting guideline here, suspensions only result from personal vendetta or crowdpleasing. No real need for moderation in a section whose purpose is to "generally screw around! May be NSFW (without warning)." I could probably tolerate gunzz' continued moderation if he leaned just a bit more towards housekeeping (fixing broken threads & consolidating pic bombs / thread scrolling / thread widening) and away from crowdpleasing (arbitrarily enforcing posting guidelines that have historically been disregarded in this section based on a users' perceived popularity)

Premium Palace - Nobody -- 90% of the userbase can't even read this section and in the past it's just been used to talk shit about people behind their backs and test scripts usually result in thread breakage until working.

Old School - don't care, probably should have a moderator though

Sports Talk - don't care, 90% of the users here have no idea what they're talking about and just talk shit, probably could get by without a moderator as the only moderation seems to be along the lines of CC, which is to say without any basis in the posting guidelines.

Entertainment - don't care, maybe one of those MMORPG nerds, that seems to be the only sort of thread that gets much attention in there

Tech Talk - me, because I would require that Noen isolate his piracy opinions to a single thread

The Garage - arghx seems like a good choice... but damn sure not sparky. He was by far the worst of the original moderators, his posts indicate he's barely literate while his opinions and justifications read like he's drunk or just got off the short bus

The Soap Box - Str8Foolish would probably maintain objectivity enough to keep things on track without letting too much of his personal bias into it

Classifieds - pretty much anybody but synapse, who sets a terrible example by flagrantly violating established posting guidelines and generally acting like a giant douche... on a limb, fregac seems to consistently have been selling things there for years, and otherwise does not act like a giant douche.

Study Hall - remove this subforum, practically nobody has used it since all school-related functions of TWW broke

Feedback Forum - Nobody, who watches the watchers if they can alter their own feedback?

The only beef I have with qntmfred's list is OEPII1, who would be a great mod for a forum about math, but bad for a forum where discussions of race, ethnicity, and sexuality could possibly take place.

And, honestly, I don't think GrumpyGOP would want to be a mod.

I don't know what the hell you are even referring to. I only care to remove the "Where can I get a serial number for X", and the "I downloaded a .rar movie from a torrent/p2p, how do I play it on my ipod?" stupidity threads.

And thread cleanup, I'm specifically referring to "Official" or long paged threads that would be of considerable benefit if the original post were updated as a review of the entire thread, and tangential conversations were removed after being stale for a year or more.
