So far I've noticed 2 major things:

1) Anti-Pedestrian... The area I live in is all but devoid of sidewalks. Makes it difficult to run without endangering myself
2) City Water... It's pretty much undrinkable out of the tap, and I hardly ever complain... I hate keeping britta's filled and hate the ones that attach to the faucet even more...

Just wait until Furniture Market. Two weeks out of the year that you will never want to leave the house. The next one is in April. GOOD LUCK

I was looking at a townhouse in High Point last month. And yes, they are definitely cheaper than in Greensboro. But I just think it is a pain in the ass getting around High Point, even when the Market isn't in town. There are only like 2 roads that take you through the city

i live just outside of high point in davidson county (wallburg).

high point SUCKS. every time i go home i we try and go out like we do in raleigh (bars, late night eats, and such), and there is NOTHING.

the only bar that people go to is Liberty (?) which is full of dick pickles and pusscakes from my high school. high point is the suck.

BUT, there are some fine bitches at HPU.

Yeah, Liberty is all old broads. Not many options in High Point besides Tiki Cabaret, and you can't exactly take your girl there. Well, maybe you can, if you're lucky.

My buddy Steve lives in Wallburg, or Welcome, or Midway, or one of those. They're all the same to me

well fortunately I all but live in Greensboro...

I ventured into highpoint to find the other walmart and discovered, as mentioned, 2 roads, the walmart is all OLD people, and the mall has this depressing dying feel to it...

where2find this HPU tail?

I'm off to hopefully not get run over while running

I assume all the hot HPU tail parties in Greensboro. So hit the popular downtown Greensboro clubs and bars

^YES. However, Gboro clubs are hella-expensive (we're talking $20 cover), but there are some pretty effing sweet bars downton.

If I were into clubs I would enjoy downtown Greensboro. But I am more of a sit at the bar and chill guy, and downtown Greensboro is lacking in that department, with the exception of Natty's, Green Burro, Stumblestilskins, and Pour House. And typically, all 3 of those are sausage fests.

I stick to bars on the outskirts of Downtown. Speakeasy Tavern, Tap Room, Underground. All in the same strip so you can just walk back and forth

I would imagine that chicks would love it. I went to several Furniture Market parties back in October with clients, and there are a ton of hot Italian dudes walking around. All of my female coworkers were all moist

Whatever... my aunt got a 4-poster walnut king size bed for a blowjob. You just have to wait til after the market, and be prepared to suck cock.

Jk. There are actually some good deals on floor pieces, but with the economy as it is, they may not be as willing to sell.

my dad grew up there and my grandmother has lived in the same house near hpu for about 50 years now.

i was born there but grew up in greensboro.

high point is kind of a sad, dying town.

I was looking at a few foreclosures over there off of Montlieu. The houses are AWESOME over there in the historic district, but the neighborhood is terrible. I wish I could pick up one of those houses and move it to Greensboro

i like it over there. but there has been crime. but as i said, i think the neighborhood is actually improving. some residents seem to care a little more than in the past.

it used to be worse is all i'm saying i guess.

my brother has a friend that lives in a house back there as well. they're pretty big hippy types though. they run a motorcycle magazine and drink and are tattoo artists. big guys. i don't think anyone would fuck with them.

my water in greensboro tastes horrible as well. i don't even turn my ice maker on because once the ice gets in the drink, it freaking ruins it. i mean, i feel like beach water tastes better than my water. and i don't know if something is wrong or if everyone's water in the triad is just g-ross.

does your fridge not have a filter in it?

i thought that all fridges made in the last 10-15 years had filters in there... I just know it was kind of a pain in the ass to change ours back home (it was my job to do it because my mom didn't know how)

I went to HPU for a semester, just as a lay over between my first school and NCSU. It wasn't a bad experience, it's actually a pretty decent school if you can get past the religious bent. I have to say that the on campus parties there were much better than nearly all of those I experienced at NCSU (with the 1 exception being Brent Road, which isn't really on campus anyway). I would put the quality of the core level classes on par with NCSU but not so much the upper level classes, just because they don't have the resources that a larger school has. Yes there were many attractive women there as well but again you could easily find more at UNC or WFU (or arguably even NCSU).

Other than that, the city sucks as does most of the Triad.
