So a couple months ago I noticed that the light in my glove compartment would flicker on and off occasionally while driving. I ended up duct taping the sensor down so it would stay off, I figured maybe it wasn't closing completely. Today while driving my door open light started flickering and did so for my entire drive, then I realized the overhead light was flickering as well.

Why is my cars electrical system going batshit? Its a 97 integra.

First thing I'd do is clean off battery terminals and check all grounding points to make sure they're secure.

fusing. Check your fuse for a partial blow. One that occurs under conditions in which the amp draw borders the blow threshhold and the strip inside softens, melts, but may still make intermittent contact.

^ dan would know about the rice wiring better, but don't the light switches ground to close the circuit, chances are you have a wire rubbed through somewhere, or a bad ground with backfeed

bad ground with backfeed is common on a lot of sakemobiles. So are blown fuses combined with bad ground and backfeed.

Everytime I see a Datsun Z car with one dim headlight I tell the poor bastard to change the headlight fuse, especially after he's already changed the bulb twice or ten times.

One of the switches in the door could be going bad as well. That would cause the door open light and overhead lights to flicker.

My GFs jeep does this because the switch in the back hatch is busted.
