Not necessarily your favorite. I'm sitting at my computer and once again I've put on Stars of the Lid without even really thinking about it. It's one of those albums that I don't have to be actively listening to which helps when reading something online.
Top two albums I've probably worn out: 1. Stars Of The Lid - And Their Refinement Of The Decline (I seriously play this 3 times a week) 2. Radiohead - OK Computer (My first copy didn't leave my stereo for three years until I went to college) 2/8/2009 4:03:24 PM |

I probably have to pick 4 that I would guess are head and shoulders above the rest:
Deftones - "Adrenaline" It was the first CD that I bought and I still pop it in now and again. But simply due to the fact that it was my first CD purchased there is no doubt that it has accumulated more plays than just about any other in my collection imo. (I know I listened to it all the way through several times a week during nearly all of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade haha).
Between the Buried and Me - "Self Titled" Loved this when I first heard it in HS. I got an ipod and FM tuner for my car freshman year (2003) of college and thus didn't use my CDs in my car really anymore. Besides still being one of my favorite albums at the time, when I first hooked up my FM tuner, this disc happened to be in my CD player. And, since I didn't use CDs much in my car after this as I mentioned, it pretty much stayed in my car's cd player until I got my Ipod integrated Alpine system last year. So, everytime I turned my car on it defaulted to my CD player and the disc would spin and a lot of times I would listen to most of the disc before putting something else on.
Radiohead - "OK Computer" Not much to say despite the fact that it is one of my favorite albums and is a heavy default when I don't have something else specifically in mind.
Smashing Pumpkins- "Siamese Dream" Same as Ok Computer

Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand is the only album I completely and consistently overplay... at least that I can think of immediately.
Usually I just let the iPod run on shuffle. Or let iTunes run on shuffle. Or plug the iPod into the car radio and let it run on shuffle.

this is easy, but it's a hefty list. my totally played out list includes these, all of which i have listened to, arguably, on average probably 5-7 times each per month for anywhere between 4 and 8 years:
Hum - Downward is Heavenward The Appleseed Cast - Low Level Owl Vol 1 Cursive - Domestica Radiohead - The Bends Far - Water and Solutions Arcade Fire - Funeral

Mew - And the Glass Handed Kites whenever i can't decide what to listen to, i seem to resort back to this album or Frengers
Ever We Fall - We Are But Humans great album for warm sunny days, driving to the beach with the windows down...and now that i live in a florida beach town, that's everyday...so it gets played a lot
Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison of my decently large vinyl collection, this is the only record that gets a lot of play 2/9/2009 11:47:57 AM |
