I'm signing up for an interview and there are only two slots available that I could make without skipping class. One is at 3pm, the other is 8:30am. It seems like the 3pm is the last of the day, and the 8:30 is the first. Does it matter? Its for a summer internship. Right now I'm signed up for the 3pm so I can go home and change after class, plus I can sleep in a bit more

Is it with Sears?

i'd prefer to be the one that the followers are compared to personally ]]

I would go to the early one so you are not thinking about it all day.

I'd go with the early one to a. show you are able to get up and be on time especially early in the morning, and b. because of the reason omar said above.

That's what I'm thinking Omar, or I could come in at the end and have the final say. Although, at that point the people are tired from (and of) interviewing all day and probably would just want to get it over with.

The only interview I had with time slots like this was on campus last April/May, right before I graduated. I had the second time slot and felt like the interviewers weren't really sure what to ask. They kind of started conversations without any real direction and I felt like I did a good job steering the conversation to what I would be able to do to help them, save them money, etc. I felt even better about it when I talked to a few classmates that had later time slots that got caught off guard by questions about specific things I brought up. I didn't get the job though and felt like I was just the warm-up interview.Summary: My anecdotal evidence says take the later one.

I'd say pick the late onethis way, interviewers have weeded through other people and know what they want to ask youplus my guess is that they'd remember you better towards the end of the day than at the beginning

the early one would probably work better. just have plenty of coffee or whatever it takes to wake you up before you go in.

Well, shit, I changed to the 8:30 just before class, then you people went with 3. Now all of the other slots are filled so I'm stuck with the morning.Well, another interview slot job like this that I went first for went really well and it landed me a co-op, since I was able to act chill as the interviewers fumbled with their papers and questions. Maybe this will go well too.

Early is good! By the time that joker at 3p is interviewing you've already composed and sent a thank you note to your interviewer.
