This was tough to read at first since there is no punctuation.

If your beliefs are based on popularity, you may want to switch to Islam.

^Might have been the Gallup poll measuring how religious the countries of the world are, and also how wealth/lack thereof affects belief in a cosmic skyfairy.

Happy Darwin Day. I really don't care about Lincoln.

I unfortunately mentioned Darwin's bday at lunch, then I had to listen to the super religious guy at the table try and convert people for the next half an hour

I think my favorite thing about Darwin is the hat:

I'd rock a hat like that if I thought I could pull it off.

I had some people come door to door today with LDS pamphlets. I politely turned them away, and wished them a happy darwin day.

They seemed puzzled at my reaction.

He was cool in my book until he recanted all of what he wrote in his life about evolution just so he could be buried in a cathedral

^^Yeah, that's bullshit. Darwin never recanted anything, and the people who say otherwise are talking out of their collective asses.

For Willy Nilly:

^^ Here's the yahoo article on that statistic.

Quote :
"In the 150 years since he published his groundbreaking On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, and the 200 years since the date of his birth celebrated this week, Charles Darwin has failed to convince the majority of Americans of the validity of his theories; an August 2006 survey by the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life and the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, found that 63% of Americans say they believe that humans and other animals have either always existed in their present form or have evolved over time under the guidance of a supreme being while only 26% say that life evolved solely through processes such as natural selection. A similar Pew Research Center poll, released in August 2005, found that 64% of Americans support teaching creationism alongside evolution in the classroom. "
