Tricks: Sit, Come. We are working on down and walking on a loose leash.<br>
Likes: Wrestling with other dogs, zooming around the yard, attention from his foster parents, toys, food/treats, belly rubs, walks
Dislikes: He sometimes gets upset if he is in his crate away from everyone, so he will cry. He can be very vocal when he doesn’t get his way, but is learning that is not OK.<br>
Activity Level: High but can calm down and relax inside.<br>
Notes: Quincy is a joy to be around. He is very affectionate with his foster parents. It took him a few days to warm up to his foster dad but now loves him. He enjoys sitting with his foster parents on the couch at night, while they watch tv, and will give lots of kisses. He is great with other dogs. He is living with 4 other dogs right now (3 males and a female). He is best friends with the 2 youngest males and enjoys playing tag and wrestling with them. The alpha female even enjoys playing with Quincy. The oldest male isn’t very fond of Quincy but Quincy doesn’t care. He just goes on about his business. Quincy also lives with 4 cats that are used to dogs. He enjoys following them around the house and sometimes tries to chase them, but doesn’t show an interest in hurting them at all. He hasn’t had any accidents in our house or in his crate. Quincy would love a family to call his own. Preferably a family that would take him on walks or hikes and a family that has another dog for Quincy to be best friends with. He will reward that family with lots of love and laughs (he is quite the comedian!).

oops, i meant 12 and under. He is a powerful dog.

He stays inside in a crate during the day. He also sleeps in his crate at night. He would be fine with a timid girl dog but he REALLY needs a dog to play with him. He might make the shy dog come out of her shell more. When we first got our aussie he was VERY fearful. I think our dogs helped him a lot. When they would get out of hand, he would just leave them alone for awhile.

He is a VERY energetic dog but does settle down at night. The boxer rescue has him listed as a pure boxer. He definitely isn't show quality but is a boxer.

Are you sure he is pure boxer? I ask this because I am wondering why his tail wasn't bobbed. It's hard to tell from the pictures.

I grew up around boxers and they are great dogs. Quincy looks to be at least mostly boxer, if not all boxer. Boxers only have stubs for tails and triangular pointed ears because someone takes the time and the money to have their tails docked and their ears cropped.

Personally, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the looks of a boxer puppy without all of that done to them.

Bottombaby is right. Boxers aren't born that way. Whomever bred Quincy, didn't dock his tail. I actually like his tail but I like docked tails too.

He is going to be at the Durham Petsmart North pointe dr (shopping center) from ~12-2 today~
