Fabric softener is definitely too thin. You need a minimum of like 3 sheets. But it leaves a nice smell.

also, i'm pretty sure itchy assholes are from chinese food not from lack of wiping.

You could use an old t-shirt. Just make sure you wash it before you wear it again.
