writing a captcha beater is trivial.

I did this to prove a point with wolfpacklife.com or whatever it was a couple of years ago. Took about 4 hours, but I didn't save the code. There are open source libraries to process captcha's, plop that in with a php/asp/perl scraper script and you have a winner. Add in a proxy bouncer and it's pretty much foolproof.

If I recall in this case the captcha is implemented entirely in the client-side Flash UI and can be disregarded. However, the votes only appear to count from unique IPs, which limited me to the size of my proxy list once daily. I only had a couple hundred proxies and catching up to 5.5 million votes seemed pretty much a waste of time, so I gave up
