If you are less than 20 or older than 40 and have a baby you should be fined $25000 and it goes straight on your credit. You got 20 years to have all the children you want.

under your fine idea, if you have a kid unlawfully and then get fined 25000, now you have the "debt" of the act and the "debt" of the kid.

Wow, I haven't read the thread yet -- it just exploded....


Everyone has a right to have as many kids as they want. No eugenics, no forced abortions.

However, if they fail to meet their obligation to properly raise the kids, they should simply lose custody. At no point should tax dollars be spent on anything other than the costs associated with the state taking custody of the kids.

Eventually, all tax-payer supported welfare programs should be phased out. Until that happens, individuals that have been on those programs for 1 year or more should NOT get any additional money, food stamps, (or other tax-payer-sourced revenue,) upon having children. PERIOD. If they are already too poor to take care of themselves, it does not make any sense to increase the amount of "free money" they get when they make the incredibly irresponsible decision to have kids.

All the tax-money saved by not increasing these hand-outs could instead be spent on increasing the funding for social services used to remove children from parents who can't afford them -- so, these policy changes, to at least a degree, pay for themselves. Of course, those parents should also be charged with child endangerment, etc. and fined.

As some of the irresponsible parents inevitably continue to be irresponsible, many children will have to go to foster homes, adoptions, even orphanages if we have to. And the parents at fault, if not still in jail for their crimes, should be heavily fined to help pay for it all. (They may kill themselves out of loss of hope, which is good -- we don't fucking need these god damn leeches.) Eventually, poor people will get the message that you can't just have as many kids as you want with no way of paying for them.

Octomom is such a circus-freak, that she's likely able to get enough money from private sources to get by fine...
(although, I did hear that she's so irresponsible and/or stupid as to think her food stamps aren't a "welfare program" )
