I heard in the finale he finally makes the Rangers. They call him in the 9th, he strikes out the sides and tosses the ball to Stevie in the stands, but Stevie slips and falls into gap between the stands and wall and dies, and the screen fades to black as the series ends.

man, what a shitty ending. they could have made another season where he was living it up in the bigs and I would have loved to see it, especially with Stevie finally being big pimpin' too. so disappointed.

This had me rolling, but I also thought it had a great message that maybe Kenny realized (if only subconsciously) that he could never be a good family man if he didn't give up his dream of being in the majors.

And I'm just throwing it back at you. Do you really think they would end the series like that? The shit's Rugrats, not Rubicon. The mindfuck was thinking he was dead. The last scene was showing that he wasn't. I think its pretty cut and dry.



Overall, I think its pretty obvious the last two seasons were a downgrade from the now legendary season 1, with season 2 being the worst. The show was still funny,but it was more smirks and grins in the past couple seasons as opposed to the belly laughs earlier on. I understand moving venues to keep it fresh, but each season was really only about three-four hours of TV. The entire series was basically the length of one season of a network show. But I think it had run its course. They were already recycling storylines and the jokes were getting stale. It was smart to go out before it fell off completely like that show about the gay Chinese talent agent and his overbearing Jewish boss.
