Tell me what you know about this bike.I want a good bike that I can ride anywhere (off road, trails, roads, just riding casually with my wife)Is this a decent start?P.S. I am buying it from my friend for $300 and it's in great condition. What do you think, fellow intarweb experts?

Cannondales are pretty badass. I'm assuming it's a mountain bike given your desire to take trails with it. How old's the bike for that kinda money?Check out the cycling thread, too.]

I had one of those once. While I was riding, the seat came off, and the support bar went straight up my asshole. Ripped right through my jeans. It was the single most embarrassing and painful moment of my life.

I have had an F700 for almost 10 years now and it's great. Guess that doesn't help you much. The point is, Cannondale makes an awesome bike. At least they used to.

they're not called creak-and-fails for nothing. nah, cannondales are pretty solid, personally just not a fan of the single sided swing arm fork design.
