I slide it to the right. I hate when I stand on the mat drying off and the curtain touches me.

on a related note, do you dry off in the shower or do you get out and dry off? It drives me nuts when a chick takes a shower at my house and gets my bath mats soaking wet.

I partially dry off in the shower so that I am not soaking wet and then finish drying off on the mat. I hate soaking wet mats as well.

Since I'm 6'2, its easier to rinse my mouth out standing up than it is bending down to a sink.

Weird...

I thought about making a "when you get out of the shower" thread this morning when I got out of the shower. I was curious if anyone else uses their hands to squeegee water off themselves before getting out, similar to^^^^

I fucking hate this about sinks, and counters in general. I have to stand with my legs split apart 90°.... I'm pretty sure people's average height has gone up a few inches in the last century, but counter height standards haven't adjusted....

I always go to the left, no matter what shower I'm in, unless it has a door.

-slide curtain open at faucet side
-toilet paper over the top
-fold TP instead of crumple (crumplers are sick)

When I start the water and pull the shower switch, I always close the curtain before the shower comes out of the nozzle. It used to scare me when I was little, lol. Then I get in the other end of the shower. When I get out of the shower I get out the opposite end of the faucet.

...but nah, mat sets are gross. They feel great at first, but then they get funky quick.
I use a mat-towel, and hang it up after I'm done. (Mildew is NOT welcome in my house.)

lol... I used to crumple when I was a kid. I think I stopped around age 8, because I got shit on my hand.

This is what I've been considering for when I add a master bathroom to my house. I'll be a lot more work, though....

ideally once a week??!?!?!

to the right

coincidentally twoards the faucet?

just the way the shower is set up in the br, looking out the towel rack is on the wall to the left, so i open to the right to be greeted with a towel

\/ Yeah, I guess it's mostly the toilet mat that I have a problem with. That and mildew.

bath mats that wrap around the toilet are not welcome in my bathrooms.

regular bath mats, whether they're the furry ones with the rubber bottoms or a regular bathmat towel are replaced along with the towel replacement schedule. i use a towel to dry for two days before putting it in the hamper and getting a new one from the linen closet.

I slide it toward the left, away from the toilet. That way my male roommates don't feel the need to urinate all over it

PS- Somewhat related:
I LOATHE wet bathroom floor mats, especially the fluffy ones that hold lots of h20 for a long period of time. YUCK. Somehow I always forget something, walk into the bathroom with a fresh pair of socks on... and they get SOAKED. That + whisker hairs all over the sink = when I regret sharing a bathroom with 2 guys.

i get in and out opposite the faucet side. that way, the seal the curtain makes with the tub wall on the faucet side is never broken, thus preventing leakage.

Bath mats are for suckers.

I don't use them unless I have company. (Don't wanna contribute to the injury of some idiot who doesn't know how to walk on a wet floor.)

Did you seriously fucking describe yourself putting a towel in the hamper and getting a new one from the linen closet?

WTF is wrong with you?

Nah, people have interesting responses.

It's like if you're describing how you make pasta. And you finish with, "Then I put the pot and the colander into my dishwasher."
