OK, I decided to make a new thread since most people that visited the other thread did not fully read it, and so I want to avoid any kind of confusion. The thread is question is right here CLICK HERE TO SEE SPECS: http://www.brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=558180

Anyway, what I am seeing on the Internet is that this exact laptop (or very similar), except for the hard drive size in some cases, cost between $600-700 on some type of deal or weekly special, and about $800-850 without a special. My price for $500 stands unless you ca show yo can get one exactly like it, or very similar, cheaper. These are examples:

They are all refurbished...

They are 700-800 Brand new, so you are really saying $500 is not reasonable? Haha, I hear Charlie Goodnights is hiring.

Good try, not I did not solicit any help realizing anything. Just stop caring about stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with you and I am sure you will love a long healthy life.

refurbished just means the replaced a part....which is typical at least once within the lifetime of a computer. so basically it means it has a brand new part in it. Its like buying a car and not expecting to have some minor part replaced to keep it working. I'd rather have the car with replaced brand new parts then something that hasn't ran into any problems yet with older parts. Just means you'll have to replace them or fix something soon yourself. I'm not sure why people fear the word "refurbished".

Mine was refurbished, they put a brand new lid on it for free because there was an alarming failure rate of the left hinge breaking. I can provide emails to verify this. I bought a new computer while this one was at HP. I have not used it except just to turn it just once since I have had it back. They even replaced some worn out keys without me asking! Thanks HP!!

(Sunk Costs: Money that you have already spent on an item. It does not affect the actual value of the item in the current market place. For example: "I want to get a least $700 for it, because I paid $3000 for it in 1997." What you paid is sunk costs, you can only get what it's worth, no matter how much you paid.)"
