^^^ha yea, played with those guys a bunch. My sophomore year I had a couple of friends' bands get on MTV2, was definitely weird to see them playingBeloved - Aimless Endeavorhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uduJ8FUcKkBetween the Buried and Me - Alaskahttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV8Aoy8dH-A[Edited on February 24, 2009 at 8:12 PM. it's like holy shit, i almost bought a golden lab or something from you like 10 years ago and now you're gonna be a superstar or something

I know quite a few big musicians, some are still really cool...others act like you are a waste of their time now.
2/24/2009 8:13:39 PM
yea, which to me doesnt make any sense...but I guess it weeds out the douchebags. didnt you know someone from killswitch? And obviously I know about bury your dead[Edited on February 24, 2009 at 8:15 PM. Reason : ]

it's pretty sad how that happens.
2/24/2009 8:14:51 PM
these guys are pretty cool and fairly intelligent.
2/24/2009 8:14:58 PM
The guys in KSE are still good guys. James Shanahan on the other hand seems to be different these days.
2/24/2009 8:17:52 PM
ah that sucks.^^ and yea i wasnt trying to say otherwise, theyve invited us down to charlotte a few times and were pretty nice dudes[Edited on February 24, 2009 at 8:22 PM. Reason : ]

i've heard one of the guys (the guy who does the back-up vocals) can be a douche but otherwise they're pretty cooli can't stop listening to this song though
2/24/2009 8:51:05 PM
I'm not really a big fan of the music honestly but I certainly hope they do well
2/24/2009 8:53:21 PM
from what i heard from slingblade they started out as a joke, so it makes it more impressive to me.don't like their screaming or what?
2/24/2009 8:54:41 PM
haha nah, my band doesnt even have someone to do clean vocals so its not that but yea its just not my thing, Ive heard so much stuff just like it over the years that im pretty jaded is all. not here to bad mouth them at all, as I said, Im happy for them and enjoy playing with them.and yea they started out as a not very serious band, but they were definitely trying hard to get signed over the past couple years and it worked out for them with victory.[Edited on February 24, 2009 at 8:59 PM. is there even music on MTV?
2/24/2009 8:58:22 PM
I have never heard a band say "I'm glad we signed to Victory, they treat us right"
2/24/2009 8:59:07 PM
haha thats only because they havent had to actually deal with them yet
2/24/2009 9:00:05 PM
Im not quite sure why the sound changes for a couple seconds...but here is a video of Red Tide from CT back in 97.The drummer is now in Killswitch Engage. The fat guitarist was in my old band from 99-2002.
2/24/2009 9:09:46 PM
ha nice. I love watching videos like that
2/24/2009 9:13:50 PM
what i had heard is they started out at my schools talent show since they wanted to do something hardcore as a joke since everyone else was doing poppy/rap shit, it's amazing they're starting to get big
