First of all, stop using the Quick Links for non famous look-ups. they are garbage. Shit, I pretty much never use Quick Links for anything

First step is to look and see where the call originated from. Then go to White Pages and look up the name at that location. If you can't find it, then cite your White Pages look-up and give a bullshit response.

Here is an exampe: Say someone sends you a question that says "Who is John Queefmeyster?"

You notice the call came from San Antonio, TX. You check White Pages for John Queefmeyster and see no responses. Quote your search and answer with this:

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't find a listing for John Queefmeyster. Can you give me some more information about him? ChaCha again!"

Don't waste your time on that bullshit. If you can't find the answer on those types of questions, all ChaCha wants you to do is try to get more info to help the next guide find it.

Quote :
"If it's something I'm not going to find the answer to I'm not wasting 10 minutes on it. I'm pretty sure I could have found the answer to the hispanic marriage question though."

Then you need to answer it with something like "I'm sorry, but I was unable to find the answer based on the information you provided. Can you tell me a little more?" ChaCha.

Hitting Abort fucks up your completion rating, which is all they really care about

Not that I know of. . From what I understand, your "team" is made up of people that used your e-mail as a referral when they registered

you should look at your categories, that's probably why they aren't back to back. I have each one maxed out with interests.

^ correct. you don't want to JUST respond with that. But it is acceptible to respond with that, as long as you make an attempt to lead the customer with questions that will help the next guide find the answer.

And you never want to say "i can't find your answer", but rather word it as "there are no listings based on the information you provided" or something along those lines

Have none of you ever worked in customer service?

kinda like say "How may I help you?" rather than "May I help you?"

If you have to ask a question, phrase it such that it is more than a one word response.

and never make it your fault that you can't find the answer. turn it around on them. instead of "I can't find your answer", say "the information you provided is not enough for me to find the answer"

Got my QA Feedback complaints back today for the 2 70%s I received...

"ChaCha is a business name and should be spelled with proper capitalization. Other variations such as chacha, CHACHA, or Cha-Cha are not recommended."

I used "Cha Cha." Guess it was just a noob mistake

^^ That just seems creepy. How much could they fit in a text anyways? And where would the information?

I like how personable they are. My husband answers questions and he says they train yall to be more personable. It definitely helps! I always want to write back and say thanks but I know i'll probably not get the same person.

They made some pretty awesome changes that went into effect today so i wanted to post it here in case you all missed the bulletin.

Quote :
"Multi-part answers

We are very excited to share that for certain designated categories, Guides will now have the ability to send answers that are longer than 130 characters. Not all categories will support multi-part answers. But in analyzing the categories where we frequently have customers following up for more information or where Guides were often using the maximum number of characters, we designated the following categories that will allow answers longer than 130 characters:

- Travel/Directions & Traffic

- Entertainment & Arts/Music/Song Lyrics (new category!)

- Entertainment & Arts/Movies/Movie Showings (new category!).

- Language & Lookup/Yellow Pages

- Entertainment & Arts/Games

- Health/Diet & Nutrition

- Health/Fitness

- Health/Medicine & Treatment

- Language & Lookup/Definitions

- Lifestyle/Food & Drink

- Society & Culture/Relationships & Dating

- Customer Service/ChaCha Info
No formatting is required by the Guide to send multi-part answers (just normal punctuation) - our system logic will determine how to divide the answer into separate messages in a user-friendly manner. We have used this feature sparingly as not all customers have unlimited text plans, and this is intended to enhance the customer experience, not to add unnecessary additional messages. A prime example of a category where this will enhance the quality of the answer is directions, where 130 characters is not a lot of room to give a fully satisfying answer.

Expeditors - you play a role in ensuring that Specialists/Generalists can utilize the new feature by selecting the appropriate category. That leads me to our next topic….

New Categories!

We analyzed topics that were causing confusion for Expeditors and have created new categories to improve accuracy. There are several benefits to this change - routing to the appropriate Specialists, better segmentation of content for the ChaCha website and for advertising. Please read on to familiarize yourself with the changes:

Xplicit is changing to Sex.
Xplicit/Dirty & Offensive Jokes is changing to Entertainment & Arts/Humor/Dirty Jokes.
Xplicit/Sexually Explicit is changing to Sex/Sex Organs.
Health/Sexuality is changing to Sex/Sexuality.
Sex/Sex Industry* will be a new category.
Entertainment & Arts/Humor/Off-Color Humor* will be a new category.

We also created some additional categories to leverage the new multi-part message feature:

Entertainment & Arts/Music/Song Lyrics*

Entertainment & Arts/Movies/Movie Showings*

And lastly, we added

Sports/Scores*

Business/Stocks and Stock Market*

Specialists - make sure that you add interests if you want to receive questions in the new categories!"

So one of my friends just got accepted and every time she gets on it will tell her she has a question, she hits ok, and then the question never comes up and then it will tell her she took too long. What is wrong? I told her to clear her cache and cookies but she said it isn't changing?

I'll admit, it's been 3 years now since I've had a phone plan in the States, but do you have to pay for incoming text messages on most plans? What kind of bullcrap is that?

^ I used to have to pay for all texts. Then they started coming out with text plans (similar to your voice minute plans) where you could get like 100-1000 a month both incoming and outgoing. In other words, if you texted someone and they texted you back, that counted as 2 texts against your plan. Then if you went over, you were charged. Now unlimited texting is pretty much the norm.

My QA... dumb mistakes. Should have read the tipsheets and forum. Got counted off for using definr or googlemaps the wrong link, or using a SERP (search engine results page). Also, got like 6 from saying just "Cha!" at the end of messages instead of "ChaCha."

at 88... hopefully i'll be 95 next time...

My biggest week so far was 537 searches. But i just work here and there throughout the day. I'll sit in front of the TV and answer questions during commercial breaks usually. I start my new job a week from Monday so my numbers will go down drastically, that's why I am trying to blow it out this week.

Like I said earlier in the thread, if you can do just 100 questions a day at an average of $.13 per question, that's $4745 extra per year. Not too shabby
