I am looking for a program to join .avi files, but everything I find is a trial of a pay-per-license program... Can someone point me to a free program for joining .avi's without a watermark or anything that I must somehow be missing? 3/2/2009 10:15:27 PM |

And thanks for the suggestion... I downloaded VirtualDub, but I'm getting problems saying:
"" Couldn't locate decompressor for format "XVID" (unknown)
VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable. ""
Is there a codec pack I need or something? I can play the files in VLC... 3/2/2009 10:49:43 PM |

you need the DirectShow divx or xvid codec. You can get a free trial of the DivX codec from divx.com I have no idea if xvid is still even available. 3/2/2009 10:56:50 PM |

of course this isn't a serious question but the answer is CD size and to adhere to TDX rules which were just updated very recently actually3/2/2009 10:58:17 PM |

I hate that I need so much help with this, but will this work as an xvid and divx codec pack? I hate downloading stuff like this without knowing too much about it...
