Has anyone seen Sweetwater for sale around here yet? Their website said it was to be in the area by the end of 2008.

this is the email I got from their Distributor in NC yesterday:

Quote :
"SweetWater Brewing Company of Atlanta will make their Triangle debut early next week. All you will see is 420 draught in limited accounts for a period of time. This will be followed by 420, IPA, and Blue package with additional draught even further down the road. I will wait until the beer is flowing to announce locations."

i've had the 420 pale ale at the sun dial in atlanta. i loved it. last i knew they only had distributors out west in NC. i'll check out total wine i hope they have more than the IPA but if they don't i'm still excited.

They have it in some little sandwich shop near the college of charleston. I too enjoyed the 420 pale ale./

If it was here yesterday it wouldn't be soon enough. I love this brewery. Another TWW'er has spotted the 420 and the Blue in a Greensboro Harris Teeter.

We need an Official Sweetwater Spotting! thread.

you can buy all of them at the grocery store. i've only seen the 4:20 Ale on tap at a bar. the barkeep said that it'll be a while before Blue is available on tap.

Sweetwater starts distribution this week. You should start seeing 420 tap handles sparingly around Raleigh in the next few weeks. Trying to rollout in a few accounts at a time. I'll post up the bar accounts as they are picked up!

Raleigh Times will have it this weekend, should either have it tonight or tommorrow

[Edited on March 20, 2009 at 12:22 PM. Reason : Make that tonight. I will be there to have a pint or 2!]

Still no word on Harris Teeters in Raleigh/Cary or Total Wines having the 420 anything else other than the IPA?

Pretty sure Total Wine has 420, other beers will follow soon. Better to hit them with the best seller and then follow up to get more shelf space.

why sweat sweetwater when FatTire is here... 420 is good, but not as good as my amber delight.

Called Total Wine in cary yesterday. I was informed they won't have Sweetwater beer until May. But that they're getting it in May.

So.... was I speaking with an ignorant? Because some of you claim they do have it...

Talked to the manager of Flying Saucer today. He's expecting a keg of Sweetwater today. The tap is all ready and so assuming all goes well Flying Saucer will be selling Sweetwater permanently beginning tonight!

So are you guys finding 12 packs or just 6? I wonder if I can order a keg in Greenville.

I was in Greensboro today and right across the street was a smaller HT that carrried it. Ended up grabbing a sixer of each 420, Blue, and IPA. 28 bucks FTL though, I was planning on getting 2 cases.
