We would like to set up an automated system whereby users could text a string of information and we would reply with some corresponding result. (like texting google, for instance) Has anyone set something like this up before? What is involved?

never done it before, but i'd google "SMS server" and start reading to get some idea of what's involved.

This is old but im still working on this project every now and then.

I found microsofts sms link for outlook and it works great for outbound texts.

I cant figure out how to configure it for inbound, if it's possible. I know i'd probably have to rend a number from somewhere, or, ideally, use an existed number that is tied to one of our company phones.

Anyone have any experience with it?
