Yes, I know it's been answered in the FAQ, but still... Right now I'm sitting in the lab where the only type of stations availabe to me is SUN. Naturally it doesn't have IE on it. Yes, I'm aware IE for UNIX [i]exists[/i, but it is not installed here. I don't think it's so hard to specify the colors correctly and make sure the forms work in both browsers. Writing browser-specific website is just lame. 7/29/2002 11:07:35 PM |

actually you have it backwards. we wrote a standards-specific website rather than a browser-specific website. It would have been browser-specific if i wrote it to be compatible with that piece of shit they call netscape 4.x.
i refuse to cater to the inadequacies of Netscape 4.x ... use IE/Opera/Mozilla/Netscape6 ... you need to be bitching at whoever the hell forced you to use that piece of shit.
BTW, the colors of some of the text in the bars may be blue or something, but i did go out of my way to make sure it wasn't red on red. it would have been that way if I totally stuck with the native way i was going to do it. instead, it IS usable. and what do you mean about the forms not working? i haven't tested the Home Page Layout with anything other than IE and Mozilla. I assume everything else works except for the smilies and shit. 7/30/2002 12:29:36 AM |
